SMM Aug 19 News: End-use consumption in the automotive battery market has not seen significant improvement. Given the weak lead prices, dealers are mainly focused on digesting inventories, resulting in low trading activity in the battery wholesale market. Meanwhile, influenced by the SHFE/LME price ratio of lead and changes in tariff policies, export orders for batteries have declined, with some producers reducing their operating rates by about 20%.
